Who Should Be on the Radio and Who Is

May 10, 2011

Firstly, the video below contains extremely foul language. Lots of profanity, graphic descriptions of sexual acts, lewd language.

Now this video clearly shows who is talented and who is not. The talented one is Peter Gunz. The less talented one is Cory Gunz (his son). Cory Gunz and other less talented people get on the radio. Why? Because they are younger, the record companies feel they can sell them easier and their rhymes hold no weight. Peter Gunz NEVER made it mainstream on the radio besides "Uptown Baby" with Lord Tariq. This cat has always been able to flow. One of the best from NY.

Believe me, this isnt a slam on Cory Gunz. I never heard of him until I saw this video. This is a slam on the rappers of this generation, who's lyrical skills are questionable at best, but they are great at rhyming and making faces and flexing while they have lots of tattoos. Peter Gunz isn't exactly Old Skool, but compared to these young cats, he's definitely higher education.
In the meantime, I'll continue to listen to my MP3 player that has real music and none of this nonsense that commercial radio puts out trying to convince me that it's cool.
